Excel View

Workbook Views

Normal - To View the document in Normal View

Page Layout View - To view the document as it will appear on the printed page.
Use this view to see where pages begin and end, and to view any headers or footers are present on the page.

Page Break Preview - To view a preview of where pages will break when the document is printed. A thin dotted line appears at the page break horizontally and vertically.

Custom Views - This command is used to save a set of display and print settings as a custom view.
Once you have saved the current view, you can apply it to the document by selecting it from the list of available custom views.

To Add a Custom View :

1) Select the range of cells for the view.
2) Click on Custom View icon on View Ribbon.
3) Next, click on Add Command.
4) Give a name for the View and click OK

Excel - View

Full Screen - To View the document in Full Screen mode. Press Esc Key to return to Normal View.

Show/Hide

Ruler - View the rulers, used to measure and line up objects in the document.

Gridlines - Show the lines between rows and columns in the sheet to make editing and reading easier. The Gridlines will not print unless Print is also checked.

Formula Bar - View the Formula bar, in which we can enter text and formulas into cells.

Headings - This command will show or hide the row and column headings.

Row Headings are the row numbers to the left of the sheet.

Column Headings are the letters or numbers that apear above the columns on a sheet.

Zoom Section

Zoom - Open the Zoom dialog box to specify the zoom level of the doument.
In most cases, we can also use the zoom controls in the status bar at the bottom of the window to quickly zoom the document. 200%, 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, Fit Selection and Custom Magnification option are available in this command.

Excel - View

100% - Zoom the document to 100% of the normal size.

Zoom To Selection - Zoom the worksheet so that the currently selected range of cells fills the entire window.
This can help you focus on a specific area of the spreadsheet.

Window

Freeze Panes : Keep rows and columns visible while the rest of the worksheet scrolls based on current selection.

Freeze Top Row : Keep the top row visible while scrolling through the rest of the worksheet

Freeze First Column : Keep the first column visible while scrolling through the rest of the worksheet

Excel - View

Hide / Unhide - Hides the current window so that it cannot be seen. To bring the window back, click the Unhide button.

Save Workspace - Saves the current layout of all windows as a workspace so that it can be restored later.
